Botanical Name :  Fucus vesiculosus

Bladderwrack powder is rich in fiber, calcium, magnesium, potassium, zinc, and vitamins A and C. Plus, its high concentration of iodine may help support a healthy thyroid. Bladderwrack was the first source of commercial iodine. The powdered form may be combined with dried garlic, onion and other herbs and spices and sprinkled in soups and other foods as a flavorful salt alternative.

Bladderwrack contains alginic acid, a kind of dietary fiber. Fiber helps with constipation, but it can also relieve diarrhea and keep your bowel movements more regular in general. However, more research is needed to prove the effectiveness of bladderwrack at treating these conditions.
