Schizandra berries also known as Schisandra Chinensis are found all over Northern China and bears fruits like these berries. They are known as běi wǔ wèi zi in China, which means five flavor berry. They have a salty, sweet, sour, pungent, bitter qualities. People use it as a tea, also blend it in their smoothies, for greater absorption of nutrients, make wine, cordials and syrups.
