Most smudges are designed to clear negative energy and juniper does this as well. But, juniper can also create a safe, protective, positive, healing space when the negative energy is removed. Juniper berries are energetically and physically detoxifying as well as centering.

Juniper has a sweet and spicy "Christmas tree" fragrance and abundant blue berries. Like Cedar, Juniper is probably one of the most ancient plants. Juniper is said to have a masculine, protective energy, and is used in spells of cleansing and prosperity.

Juniper berries are popular in good luck charms, while the leaves are often used for smudging. Juniper is best used for blessing a new venture or dwelling, and inviting in abundance.

Burning instructions:
You can crumble it up and burn it on charcoal discs.

Or light the end and blow out. Walk around and allow the wand to smoulder.
After smudging it's best to lay it in a fireproof bowl or Abalone Shell to let burn out. The cleansing power of the shells helps to keep the cedar energized for the next go around. Once done, snuff out the fire against an abalone shell, store away in included pouch and save for later use.

Light the wand from the top end and place the burning wand on a safe surface.
