Our organic Shatavari Root comes to us directly from our supplier in India. The root comes from a plant known in Latin as Asparagus racemosus. The roots, which are tubers, are what are known as adventitious, which means that the plant can send out shoots from all over the plant and not just the roots. This plant creates a very large root system because of the creeping nature of the plant.
