Navajo Wild Tea | Cota

Navajo Wild Tea | Cota

Navajo Wild Tea | Cota

Cota is also known as: Indian tea, Hopi Tea, Navajo Tea, Zuni Tea, Colorado Greenthread.

💛Our cota is wild crafted from Northern New Mexico and is used to relieve stomachaches and other digestive ailments.

💛This tea has a mild flavor that is like a sweet grass. I bought some a couple of months ago on a whim to try a local herbal tea.

💛It is also used to reduce fevers, to treat kidney problems, to “purify the blood”, against gonorrhea, as a vermifuge (to expel intestinal worms), as a stimulant for the nervous system, and applied as a mouthwash to reduce tooth pain.

One of the main active ingredients in Cota is known as luteolin.

👉Brewing Instructions:
Bring filtered or spring water to 212°F. Add 1.5 tsp of tea leaves to an 8oz cup. Pour boiling water over the tea leaves and let steep 5-7 minutes.
